📜 Poem: The World is Too Much with Us

🟦 Part 1
The world is too much with us; late and soon,
(জগৎ আমাদের উপর অতিরিক্তভাবে চাপিয়ে বসেছে; অতীতে ও বর্তমানে,)
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:
(আমরা উপার্জন ও ব্যয়ের মাঝে আমাদের শক্তি নষ্ট করছি।)
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
(প্রকৃতিতে আমাদের নিজস্ব কিছুই যেন আর চোখে পড়ে না;)
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
(আমরা আমাদের হৃদয় দিয়ে ফেলেছি, এক লজ্জাজনক আশীর্বাদস্বরূপ!)

This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
(এই সাগর যা চাঁদের সামনে তার বক্ষ অনাবৃত করে;)
The winds that will be howling at all hours,
(হাওয়াগুলো যা সারাক্ষণ কেঁদে চলে,)
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;
(এবং এখন যেন ঘুমন্ত ফুলের মতো স্তব্ধ;)
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
(এইসবের সঙ্গে, সব কিছুর সঙ্গে আমাদের সুর মিলছে না;)
It moves us not. - Great God! I'd rather be

A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
(একজন পৌত্তলিক, যাকে একটি পুরনো বিশ্বাসে বড় করা হয়েছে;)
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
(তাহলে আমি এই মনোরম তৃণভূমিতে দাঁড়িয়ে,)
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
(সেই ঝলক দেখতে পেতাম যা আমাকে কম নিঃসঙ্গ করত;)
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
(দেখতে পেতাম সমুদ্র থেকে উঠে আসছে প্রোটিয়াসকে;)
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.
(অথবা শুনতে পেতাম পুরোনো ট্রাইটন তার মোড়ানো শিঙা বাজাচ্ছে।)
